A few years ago I was in a museum in Denmark and came across several wonderfully ornate and jeweled swords and daggers.  I jeweled my gold and silver uterus, too–  power can be just as powerful if it is fancy.  The color coding in the small beads is a small nod to DNA, and in particular to the mitochondrial DNA of my many strong female ancestors.
