Texas H.B. 2— An Act is a response to the new anti-abortion law in Texas. The exquisiteness of the uterus is overshadowed by the violence enacted on it. I printed out and highlighted Texas’ new anti-abortion law, torn it up, and shoved it (violently) into the uterus. Then, in my last violent act, I stitched it up crudely to reflect the type of inherent, forceful violence that this law (called “an act”) imposes on females in Texas. As one half of the Wandering Uterus Project’s uterine art, this uterus shows how the decisions of men distort female beauty.
