Hands Off, She's Mine
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Along with photography, I create works on paper and bookwork that integrates collage, sewing, drawing, printmaking, painting, text, and installation. Both my academic and artistic practices explore the human body and that shapes our embodied experience. I examine how text and image can reveal human intention: our actions, constraints, meanings, struggles, and memories. I am interested in differences between ‘official’ or historical representations of human experiences and how people actually process and express the same experience.
